Whitehorse Press was founded in 1989 by Dan and Judy Kennedy. One of their early titles, Motorcycling Excellence, produced in cooperation with the Motorcycle Safety Foundation, is one of the best-selling books covering motorcycle riding and safety skills.

Whitehorse’s authors are recognized leaders in the motorcycling world, including Carl Adams, Ron Ayres, Scott Cochran, Ken Condon, Dale Coyner, Robert Fulton, John Hermann, Reg Pridmore, Clement Salvadori, Bernt Spiegel, Bill Stermer, Ed Youngblood, and Mark Zimmerman, providing authoritative information and entertaining stories.

The purchase, which was completed on July 1, 2016, adds two dozen backlist titles to QuartoDrives, furthering Quarto’s position as a leading publisher of transportation titles for enthusiast markets. Whitehorse titles moving forward will be published under the Motorbooks imprint.

Erik Gilg, Group Publisher in Minneapolis said:
