Our History
Since 2002, Qu:id has produced an array of books on popular culture, humor and reference, and continues to grow its business across a range of international markets.

Qu:id invests heavily in product development, with innovative projects in history, mathematics, science, natural history, the arts and philosophy.

Based in the cosmopolitan seaside city of Brighton and Hove, Qu:id is a small team with big ambitions. Although its titles are represented throughout North America, Europe, Asia and Australia, much of the creative input is sourced locally, employing the extraordinary talent available in this highly creative community.

A World of Muslim Weddings, both from Frances Lincoln Children’s Books, and The Hello Atlas from Wide Eyed Editions have been selected as part of the Notable Social Studies Trade Books for Young People 2017 in the US. This annual cooperative project of the National Council for the Social Studies (NCSS) and the Children’s Book Council aims to gather “an annual reading list of exceptional books for use in social studies classrooms, selected by social studies educators.” Read More.

The Quarto Group (LSE: QRT) is pleased to announce the opening of its brand new office in Brighton’s town centre this month, which will also be the largest publishing hub in the South East of England. The new office will be home to 60 creative people working across editorial and design, production, marketing and foreign sales, focusing on developing and publishing non-fiction illustrated books.
