Sports | 12 February 2016Quarto 40th Birthday: Cycle Climb Challenge Share article facebook twitter google pinterest Today, Friday 12th February, is Quarto’s 40th Birthday! Quarto has a great history of publishing books that inspire, educate and entertain. In this grand tradition, a bunch of us in London decided to take some inspiration from one of those books – namely, Simon Warren’s 100 Greatest Cycling Climbs published by Quarto imprint Frances Lincoln – and cycle up a really big hill. 100 Greatest Cycling Climbs by Simon Warren The challenge was an up-hill cycle relay in North London. The hill in question was Swain’s Lane in Highgate, alongside the famous cemetery where Karl Marx is buried. In the name of birthday fun, and hopefully to inspire some of you to try a cycling challenge, we filmed the whole ordeal (I mean adventure) for your entertainment! A special thank-you to Chris for the editing. Particularly the repeated footage of me crossing the finish line. – Sam (@samshone) Share article facebook twitter google pinterest If you have any comments on this article please contact us or get in touch via social media.
