We are seeking a graphic design student for an exciting professional internship for our Spring 2023 Quarto Diversity Internship Program, which is intended to provide diverse students with opportunities to integrate real world professional design experiences concurrent with their ongoing undergraduate studies.

The Quarto Diversity Internship Program will run from May 2023 through August 2023. This intern will be a part of our Beverly MA Design Team working on projects across our various imprints within the Quarto Group. Interns will work between 20-29 hours per week. This student will be supervised by the Art Director and integrated into a variety of product development assignments such as cover design concepts, design briefs, moodboards, and gaining an understanding of book production design and processes.

Eligible student applicants must be a diverse student enrolled full-time as of Fall 2023 as either a Junior or Senior in a college-level undergraduate, or a Graduate student in a design or design-related master’s program. Applicants must be able to work remotely and on-location for the duration of the Internship Program.

Ideal, experienced candidates must present a portfolio in their discipline that demonstrates ongoing study and aptitude in their major. Graphic Design (Visual Communication Design) majors should demonstrate comprehension and achievement in the fundamentals of graphic design and supported by a competitive student portfolio that showcases an understanding of layout and composition, creative use of typography, and understanding color.

Applicants must demonstrate at least an intermediate level understanding of the following design principals using a variety of industry standard software tools including:

  • Adobe Creative Cloud software (working knowledge of InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and other ACC applications required)
  • Candidates should be comfortable working with MAC OS as their primary platform.

Experience & Education Requirements:

Applicants must be full-time enrolled Junior or Senior level majors in a Graphic Design undergraduate program or a graduate student in a Graphic Design or Graphic Design-related program.
