This year, Homemaker magazine – a print magazine full of creative ideas for the home – has launched the Art & Craft Book Awards, which “will honour a variety of wonderful books that have been adored by the creative nation in the past 12 months.”
Four titles from Jacqui Small have been shortlisted: Upcycling by Max McMurdo; Dream Decor by Will Taylor; The Shopkeeper's Home by Caroline Rowland; and Decorate for a Party by Holly Backer and Leslie Shewring. And four titles from Frances Lincoln have also made the list: Modernist Estates by Stefi Orazi; The Crafted Garden by Louise Curley; Little Collectors: Nature Art by Jenny Bowers; and Pattern Play by Nghiem Ta and Danielle Kroll.
The winners will be voted for by a judging panel and the magazine’s readers.
This year’s judges will be: Chalk paint expert, Annie Sloan; fashion designer, Wayne Hemingway MBE; Great British Sewing Bee Contestant, Jenniffer Taylor; head designer at Liberty Fabrics, Polly Mason and Homemaker editor, Rosie Savage.
