An accomplished journalist and editor, Candida Baker left behind a city lifestyle and a high-profile job as editor of the Weekend Australian Magazine, to live in the hills behind Byron Bay with her husband and two children in 2004. Since then she has been on a journey of self-discovery, which has led her on a creative journey through her natural horsemanship, photography, writing, journalism and an enhanced sense of spiritual and psychic connection with the animal world. She is a horse breeder, horse trainer and horse rescuer. She is the author of two novels, one book of short stories, three children's books, three non-fiction books, and the editor and contributor to numerous anthologies. Her work has been widely published in Australia, the UK and the US.
