Description

Duct tape has certainly come far since the days of being a quick-fix material that only came in the silver variety— and it’ s a material that is being pushed further still. Although “ designer” duct tape is relatively new, it is meant for a bigger stage— a fashion stage.

This book presents 101 accessories that can be worn without someone knowing that you made them out of duct tape. It may be a piece that ties your outfit together, elevates a plain shirt or dress, or makes you a little more chic in the eyes of admirers. And no one is going to ask you if that’ s duct tape. It can be your little secret— and maybe mine, too.

In our previous duct tape books you needed a few whole rolls of duct tape to complete a project. Not so here. Accessories are all about choosing the right color or pattern to bring out the oomph in an outfit. The hibiscus flower that is fashioned into a hair clip used about 3 yards of tape. How awesome is that? And the leftover tape can be used to make two bracelets and a credit card holder. Mixing and matching tapes also creates a more subtle result since you are using smaller sections of tape. So be daring and make a few unexpected pairings. You’ ll be surprised at the results.
