Description

In today's marketplace there is a wide choice of inexpensive, secondhand boats. Some knowledge of hull materials, types of boat and running costs is needed before buying a used boat. Plenty of boats can be renovated and refitted but some prior knowledge of the methods and materials is essential. Anyone with a reasonable ability at DIY can adapt and gain the skills necessary to improve a boat with this book.

The author

Dennis Watts has written articles for Practical Boat Owner magazine and Shorelink national boating newspaper, along with various other educational consignments. During 35 years of very varied boating activity and experience he has renovated and refitted many sailing and rowing dinghies, motor boats, canal boats and sail cruisers. He built his first sailing dinghy from a kit of parts and plans.
