The author

Suryacitta Malcolm Smith, aka the Happy Buddha began practising mindfulness meditation in 1989, and was ordained into the Western Buddhist Order in 1999. Subsequently, he spent five years living in a meditation retreat centre. He runs retreats and courses in the UK, Europe, and Sydney, Australia where he is also running the teacher training programme in the workplace and healthcare.
