The author

The Paint Bar was opened by Jill Kerner Schon and Jackie Schon in the Boston area in 2010. Their concept was to provide a space where people could come by themselves or in groups to learn to paint, and have a few drinks, too. Their first class had only three attendees, but since then, the idea has taken off. The Paint Bar now has two locations, and has taught how much fun painting can be to over 50,000 people.
