In this position, Gerrie gives lectures, cooking demonstrations, and store tours in support of Whole Foods Market's Health Starts Here program, which educates customers and team members on how to achieve optimum health through incorporating fresh, nutrient dense, low-fat, whole foods into their diet. She has been a member of the Southern California Section of the Institute of Food Technologist since 2000 and served as 2008-2009 Chair. She has also been a member of the National Association of Woman Business Owners and was awarded the 2007 Rising Star in Business by the Woman's Sage organization. She currently resides in Laguna Niguel.
