The author

Ann Mitchell is part of a dynamic sister team with Karen Mitchell, with a costume jewelry company called AnKara Designs based in Altadena, CA. They make and sell jewelry, teach classes nationwide, and have appeared regularly on the Carol Duvall Show. They publish articles in Jewelry Crafts and other magazines and participate in 18 large arts and crafts shows annually.

Sisters Ann Mitchell and Karen Mitchell started their mixed media jewelry business, AnKara Designs, in 1991, based in Altadena, CA. Together, the Mitchell sisters authored the book Liquid Polymer Clay: Fabulous New Techniques for Making Jewelry and Home Accents (Krause Publications). They also add to their credits experience as teachers, columnists, and craft product designers. The duo has made numerous guest appearances on television including The Carol Duvall Show, DIY Jewelry Making, and DIY Craft Lab. Their delicate, feminine jewelry design style and innovative ideas have appeared in feature films, television, theatre, museum exhibitions, advertisements, websites, books, and magazines.
